Postpartum care:
The postpartum is a transitional and learning time for everyone. Your midwife will be here to answer your questions( even the ones you think are silly), and support you in this time. Our care goes into the 6th week after baby is born but If you need us in between any scheduled appointments we always want you to reach out. Oh and don’t forget we always love a baby milestone update/photo!
What does postpartum care look like?
Phone call within 24hrs of the birth
Home visit at day 2 after birth
Home visits at 2 weeks, 4 weeks and 6 weeks
Birth Certificate and Social Security paperwork given
Weight check of the baby at each visit and as needed
Ensure the mother is healing / recovering well
Extra visits if there are any issues or as needed
